A Toronto LGBT leader says she feels police ignored and diminished the community’s concerns after Andrew Kinsman and Selim Esen went missing in 2017.
Toronto police are setting up a special task force to look into the disappearances of two gay men. Selim Esen, 44, was last seen on April 14, 2017, while Andrew Kinsman, 49, has been missing since June 26.
In September of 2010, Skanda Navaratnam was reported missing after leaving a gay bar with an unknown male. Several months later, Abdulbasir Faizi was reported missing. His ababdoned car was later found on Moore Ave. in Toronto. Then in October 2012, Majeed Hamid Kayhan, was reported missing to police and has yet to be found.
